I have been testing Windows 98 Release Candidate 0 version 4.10. So far I have found no problems running any of my chess programs. The great news is the Windows 98 memory manager seems to be much better. So you can set greater amounts of hash tables for the windows based chess programs without disk swapping. If you do set the hash tables so that swapping does happen you will get the use of the program back about 10 times quicker over win 95. I was able to set the chess programs to use 56 mb of hash of my 64 mb of ram under Win 98 without program slow down.
