When i talked with a IM friend of mine today, he said to me that Crafty was one of the best programs against humans, and for him, Crafty was more difficult to beat than other programs. He told me that Crafty has a very solid style of play, and that it probably was one of the 3 best chess programs at Blitz against Humans in the world!. In ICC Crafty and Scrappy have a very good performance against humans. We enjoy very much see Crafty and Scrappy playing against GMs. Also another amazing computer account in ICC was Weed (Deep Fritz) but i dont know what happen with this account, it seems to be completely disappear. This two account (Scrappy and Weed) was always fight for the best (C) in ICC. I saw in their finger notes that Crafty are running on : Intel SC450NX quad xeon/550mhz, 512mb RAM. How many knodes per second ?? And how much faster is if i compare it with a 1000 Mhz computer?? Bob, Are you use the same opening book for both programs (Scrappy and Crafty?) What´s the name of the book? (The book seems very good!) Tanya, D.
