When the distribution is binomial, I would imagine that the model is that each
game is a bernoulli trial, with the probability p that player A wins. This seems
like an OK model. Of course, the result can be a draw. But either you can choose
to ignore draws, or you can count the draws as well and get a polynomial
distribution.
