Hello Uri, Thanks for your input. I gave the position to Deep Shredder and let it go 27 plies and it did not see a mate. I find it amazing that two programs on two different computers both saw mate in 27 but it appears to be a ghost. The Beta program also saw mate in 26 on the next move but then the one move after that it dropped to -61.9 and then to -0.75. Regards, Jim
