Subject: xboard (linux) and chess servers

When logged onto the chess servers using xboard under Linux (Mandrake 8.0 and
KDE2 or Gnome) the message window in the terminal and the input window are one
and the same.  So typing (input) is often broken up by incoming messages -
unlike winboard under Windows where the input and output windows are separate.

Is there anyway round this?
