We should sign a petition to FIDE to lower the fee for a program to be
rated/earn a title. I do not remember the figure but it may be around $25,000 to
get an official rating from FIDE for a computer.

There have been title tournaments organized with computer participation. A
program should be able to get official rating/title from FIDE. Whether a player
has to play a computer to get a title norm in a tournament is a different issue
though.

There has been enough emphasis on the SSDF rating list and another evaluation
system for a program is loss of time.

Sincerely,
