Yes, Gromit uses it like this: If one side is ahead by lots of material extensions prefer moves that may help the weaker side. For example more check-extensions for the weaker side and less passed pawn extensions for the stronger side. The idea is that winning slowly is OK, but overseeing threads is not. Frank
