They are still GM , Look at Smyslov and Korchnoi they are capable of beating anyone in the world and it would be pretty amusing watching some 1800's suffer against these two! Even if they were on their deathbed i am sure they could produce. The ones who can't are usually the unlucky ones who Get Alzehmers , Strokes, etc. Some GM's aren't GM strength anymore but i wouldn't expect any organization to tell them that to their face. And when it comes to computers they don't have this stuff to worry about as you can always make coppies of the program, change hardware etc. They are evolving WE are not. They may not understand chess but GM strength they are according to Bareev and others.....
