Subject: Power 98 Is Worth the Pains

Hi all:
If any here is like me, -sure there are people like that- fond to
purchase new exciting chess software no matter how many you already
have, then I cannot but recommend Power Chess 98. No mistakes: is has
the features, the package, etc of a “mass market” product, but it has
Wchess improved version also. It is tough and his resourceful,
enterprising style, remember CSTAL, perhaps with less speculative
vocation and a lot more of speed in calculation.
In a first post I mentioned that Power was buggy and so it is, but once
you have got a correct install and learn how to avoid the glitches,
pleasure is at hand. Even the generally despised mass market features
are interesting, beginning with the boards and ending with the voice, a
most warm, erotic and seductive one in comparison with which even
Madonna intonation seems just proper for a Nixon discourse.
I wonder -and I asked this to Bob, but he does not know- if Kittinger is
fully engaged with Sierra or he is preparing an even stronger version
from his own software house. If somebody knows about that, I hope he can
tell us.
