OK... let's cut the bull**** here. I have _never_ claimed that GM players are
over 2600 average. _never_. And I will wait for you to produce _any_ post by
me that suggested that. I said this, clearly and distinctly:

"GM players have to have a FIDE rating of at _least_ 2500, plus they have to
produce a 2600+ rating over a bunch of games, before they become GM players."

I also said this:

"at some point, we _know_ that a GM was playing at a 2600 level, because he
_had_ to to get the norms out of the way".

Where you got your idea that I claimed that GM players average 2600 is something
you will have to reconcile, because _I_ didn't say that. Ever.

And you continue to accuse me of "not reading???"

Nope. I didn't say that either. And this begins to look like a hopeless
discussion since I don't believe my writing is that unclear. I will say it
again. To be a GM, the computer needs to do the following:

1. Play at a consistent 2500+ level over at least 24 games to get by the
provisional rating stage and have an established rating of 2500+.

2. Play at a 2600+ level for 24-30 games to satisfy the GM norm requirements.

That seems pretty clear to me as to what has to be done. Not "either" of the
above, but "both".
