Just in case there is any confusion, the version of Rebel 9 that played
in my tournament was the standard commercial one. Ed is referring to a
special version we used to check the behavior of several programs when
autoplaying. I can confirm that we didn't find anything suspicious at
all in any of the programs we checked.

I hope this puts an end to all suspicions about the autoplayer in Fritz
5. As some of us always said, games played by the autoplayer Fritz 5 are
as fair and as valid as any. I hope this clears too all accusations
against the SSDF after Fritz 5 came first on their list.
