Subject: Why is TheKing 3.12 under CB- or Shr5-GUI doing so well?

TheKing 3.12 [CM_8000] with orginal settings, using a good opening book, and
running either under the ChessBase-GUI or the Shredder-GUI is doing very well. I
have no explanation why TheKing 3.12 gets much better results than the CM_8000
with its own GUI and the orginal settings. It is obvious: a good opening book is
of utmost importance but the CM_8000 even with other books did not success in
achieving satisfactory results. Has probably the CM8_GUI a negative influence on
the performance of Johan de Koning's engine? Anyway, in view the somewhat
astonishing behaviour of TheKing 3.12 under running under other GUI's I see at
the moment no reason for creating other TheKing-personalities. The next matches
will be vs Gambit Tiger 2.0 and Nimzo 7.32.

RESULTS
The King 3.12
- vs CB-Engines with Nz7book.ctg
- vs Shredder 5 with Kostick.btk
