I played it quite regularly for a while (been at least a year or two since I did that now, and it is sitting on a shelf at my office) and I felt that it was not as strong as the fidelity Mach III I used for a long time. The Mach III played pretty careful with its pawns, while the diamond seems much more careless and gets into endings that are hopeless, when its aggressive behavior doesn't pan out in the middlegame. I don't know what it's USCF rating is, if it has one... but I didn't find it a difficult opponent at all. In fact, it even succumbed to an old gnuchess on a very old PC when I first got it... It uses a RISC processor, but it is a very _slow_ RISC chip.
