So pick a number between 1 and 8, and I'll tell you which engine that number corresponds to. I showed my wife the list of numbers, so she can attest that the list is fair, and that I'm not going to pick an engine because I want to see it win. If you don't trust me you can have someone else assign the numbers. This has to be more efficient than using a computer for days on end in order to create a number between 1 and 8. Maybe the computer result would be meaningful if you were going to have the program play against another computer, but a human? It doesn't mean anything. You may actually end up picking the worst one. bruce
