Are you sure you don't have a corrupted executable or opening book?  I'm not
aware of any crashing problems, except when someone downloads the wrong
executable from Dann's web site.  He has several compiled for different
processors, and if you get the wrong one, that can cause problems since it might
not have all the CPU instructions the particular compiler options required.

IE no AMD executable on a Pentium anything, no PII/PIII executable on an old
pentium-1.  etc...
