The argument is over. Pocket Fritz (or is it Shredder?) is GM-Strength.

Will these things be banned from tournaments?
In a few weeks we are going to have a very strong chess program running on
pocket calculator sized machines. The temptation is great to slip into the
bathroom during a game and analyse the position with your GM-strength Pocket
Fritz. Or use it to access the ChessBase online database and check the opening.
The creator of this exciting new product, computer chess world champion Stefan
