Hi Guys, especially Peter, Thorsten, Mark, Uwe ... but of course all
others!
Sorry for beeing absent from online for more than one week, but there
were a good raeson for that: ChessBase needs so much time for a big
operation on my PC.
O.K.: There were the following anouncements (hope that I have forgotten
nobody):
Peter Fendrich: ??
Thorsten Czub: Mephisto III S (dedicated chess computer - 1984)
Colossus X-Chess (PC or Atari - about 1988)
Delta 1 (dedicated chess computer - 1979)
eventually: Zinclair ZX Spectrum ("PC" - date??)
Mark Loftus: Psion Chess 1.01 (PC or Atari - about 1985)
Sargon III (PC - about 1990)
Cyrus (PC - about 1987?!)
Blue Bush Chess (PC - date??)
Uwe Immel: Saitek Simultano (dedicated chess computer - 1988)
eventually others
I personally will let start a MGS III (Grunfeld/Morphy/Capablanca)
(dedicated chess computer - 1981. When there is a need for another
opponent (up to the "members" named above there is missing one!) I am
prepared to let start anything else, but today I don't know what ... But
when Uwe want to, he can do.
I have no objections against any of these - even not against a Saitek
Simultano.
- Moves should be changed by E-Mail.
- When a game is finished it should be published here in CCC.
- Time Control should be around one night, that's the normal analyse
time here at my home. When anyone want to have more or less time, no
problem for me. We can handle this all completely "easy", because there
is no need to know which program is really the best one.
- I would supose, that we play a swiss system tournament with five
rounds, due to the little number of participants.
- Ended games should be mailed (completly!) to me for giving in the
result.
- Draw should only made by the programs
- Other Opionions, suggestions, something forgotten? - Please post it in
CCC within the next four days - up to Sunday evening (I hope Peter is
online again after his Malta-trip). Otherwise send my a short e-mail
that you a ready to start. When I have four mails from the people above
(hope that there will be more in the future - as I said adding a new
opponent should be no problem!), I will let make the pairings for the
first round by the program PROTOS, so nobody can influence this.
When you all agree to the conditions, I thing we can start!!!!
