Subject: A new tournament

Hello to all,

I'm planning to do a very strong and long tournament and I hope some of you can
help me to find the best way to do this. I am planning to include these engines
(all under the CB guy) with default settings where not specified.

ChessTiger 14 (SelSafety=96)
Crafty 18.08 (CB engine)
Chessmaster - The King 3.12
Fritz 6a
Gambit Tiger II (SelSafety=96, MoreGambit=1)
Gandalf 5 beta
Hiarcs 7.32
Junior 7
Shredder 5.32

If someone knows any other engine that work well with the ChessBase guy and that
could be competitive please inform me.

I plan to do a Round Robin with 20 cycles with time control at 30 min in 40
moves or maybe 60 min. I will use all the default books for the engines (for
Tiger and Gambit the original Ct.bk) and where not possible, as in the case of
Chessmaster and Crafty, a good book, for example I could import the Rebel book.
Then I will use Permanent Brain Off (I have only one computer at home, and some
of the engines will be too much handicapated under the CB guy if I use PB On in
a single processor) and book learning. Hash tables at 64 MB for all engines.

As I said if someone as some improvements to suggest me I will appreciate that
because this is the first real tournament I do.

Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,
Fabio.
