Lacking evidence, I think it makes sense that better play leads to endgames with
a narrow margin, which seem likely to end up in database endings.  Also, the
programs are getting smarter about sacrificing a piece in order to escape into
KRN vs KR or KRB vs KR when they are down a pawn or two.
