I think its wrong to lump all humans together in one lump, making it all humans vs. computer Humans don't play alike, except I can always hope for a low depth tactical oversight. I at least try to prepare for each individual opponent taking into account their opening repertoire and their playing style. AFAIK the primary anti-computer strategies are close the game, simplify and have a short middlegame (unless its closed). These strategies will not guarantee success, since the chess playing programs are so tactically aware that the likelihood of it catching on to some weakness is acute, and the situation is improving for the computer programs every day.
