The opening play and thus the game was pathetic, not Ricardi. How impressed
should I be with someone being beat from that position after 13 moves. And I
wasn't the opponent, Tiger was. Big difference. Sure Tiger still had to bring
the point home, but it certainly had lots of help in this game which really
killed the interest. I saw the evaluation also. After move 13 Tiger evaluates
itself at +1.46. In other words it thinks it has a pawn AND an advantage. I
agree. That protected passed pawn on d5 is a permanent problem for Black, and
believe me, that isn't the idea behind Black's setup. Telling me he beat Karpov
last year doesn't make this a better game either.
