Subject: Chess Tiger in Argentina: Program Settings

Author: Edward Seid

Does anyone know what the program settings are for Chess Tiger 14 in Argentina?

Is anti-human ON or OFF?

Is GUI book used? If so, is it rebel.mvs or some user-defined book?

Is engine book used? If so, is it the default ct.tbk or the experimental
gambit.tbk?

What CPU is used? How much total RAM? How large are the hashtables? Are EGTBs
used? If so, which ones?

What is value for draw score?

Is learning enabled? If so, what are the settings used?

All these questions are Chess Tiger-specific. The reason for asking such
detailed questions is that I'm the operator of HiddenDragon(C) on USCL. Running
Gambit Tiger 2.0, which is ahead of Chess Tiger 14 on the latest SSDF list,
HiddenDragon is having a tough time in a 90 30 match (approximately equal to
FIDE's new time control) against FM Mark Noble from New Zealand (FIDE 2240).
Current match score is +1 -1 =2. First to 6 wins is the match winner. So I
wonder how Chess Tiger 14 can do so well against GMs whereas my Gambit Tiger 2
is having a tougher time against an FM. All completed games can be viewed at

Comments and suggestions are welcomed.
