I want to apologize for having claimed that you are tueschen. Since he is not a person we would like to see here it could be seen as an insult. This was not my intention. Why should I offend somebody I even don't know ? I really believed he uses your name to come into ccc. Sorry. I remembered that I had sent him an edition of Schachcomputerwelt with this article and thought: oh - now he quotes out of it. Also your very precise german quoting was indicator for me that you are Tueschen. As to the content of your post I have to say that I don't understand your anger. You claim FETISHISM. I really like some programs. Kaplans old 8-Bit Maestro D++ is one of those machines. I tried to document and show with examples why i liked it. It seems the formal way I have done this was contraproductive. Since I had no commercial interests and was only doing this article for fun your can maybe understand that I saw no reason to write in a formal way , it was hobby and relaxing enjoyment for me and I was impressed and surprised by the games. I still don't know why this program is not finding Bxa3 without finding Bd6 before. It was an 8 Bit program. Only 8 or 16 KB Ram. 6502 CPU. No hash-tables. It did only 400 NPS and came not very deep (3 or 4, sometimes 4-5 "plies"). O would really like to know why the machine played Bxa3. Maybe we should ask Don Daily, or Kaplan himself. Maybe they know ? Fetish. Hm - is your wife a fetish of you ?? When I like a program, i like it. Why is this my fetish ? Don't you like Superconstellation ? And is this a fetish ? Do you practise fetshism ? I don't know. I thought I like some programs for special individual reasons. Any chess program is different. Any software is different. I thought fetishism is something for people collecting dedicated-chess-computers or software without using them really. I would not have reacted upset towards you when I would have known that you are another person than Rolf. I hope you accept my apology. Best wishes, Thorsten
