Since I am fascinated with human vs. comp games, I wondered if Fritz has a closed opening library file. Based on previous threads there may be so numerous closed openings that it may not be possible to collect them all. On CM6K, the personality Natalie says, "She prefers crowded openings". The opening book file name for her is "LowCapture.obk". Natalie's rating is about 250 USCF points less than Chessmaster (the long bearded man). I believe the 2 personalities are always 250 rating points apart under any hardware. (I hope I am correct on this.) What I am trying to get here is that CM6K made a valiant attempt to make a closed opening library. "LowCapture.obk" is about 117,000 bytes. If Deeper Blue can have an arbitrary opening library against Kasparov, then Kramnik against Fritz can have one too or is it already too late? Just my 2 cents worth, Jonathan (142 message)
