The "pruning" setting is an undocumented option in Century. I assume it has to do with how bad moves are pruned from the search. The default setting is NONE and the options are PRUNE BAD MOVES_1, _2, _3, and _4. Here's the relevant line from the .eng file: [Pruning = NONE] * PRUNE BAD MOVES_1, PRUNE BAD MOVES_2, ... I think Ed came up with the Prune.eng personality. I haven't seen any results posted for this personality.
