Hi Mogens,
I think that to beat the comps is not just for the money.
The motivation that many chess masters have when challenging a program is to
demonstrate the superiority of human race (in general) and their skill in chess
mastery against the "stupid" machine.
I think that you know how high is developed the "ego" of such a kind of people,
so I think that many of them are aware of the existence of possible "tricks"
against programs, but unfortunately not many of this "secret weapons" are so
effective nowadays... probably few years ago it was a different story.
