Very well put Miguel. I share your point of view to a 100 %. Furthermore,
chessmaster's (not CM8K ;) personal pride (in a positive sense) is often
neglected in posts seen here. This pride often results in: a) you trust your
own openings b) you trust your own chess c) when the game has started, you
get absorbed by the actual position on the board - money or not, elos or not.
At least, this is my own experience from tournament play. And I can assure
you that this feeling is also present in "serious" games at home vs some
top program. You sort of melt yourself together with the position and
definitly doesn't want to lose! Of course Panno, and the other players in
the Magistral tournament, deserve a lot more respect than showed on this
forum, at least by some.
