I bought ChessMaster 7000 online, second hand but original, because of the database. Unfortunately the database is not in pgn format and to export it to pgn you should run the chessmaster gui. In order to run the chessmaster gui you should have a voice card which I haven't. Every time I got splash screens and my PC froze up every time. Finally my Windows got screwed up and I had to run Windows setup again during which all "Chessmaster files were deleted as a safety protection for security" It seems it contains more protection than anything else. In short I lost a whole day of work. I read in this forum that it is possible to run Chessmaster 8000 without voice card if you change something in some ini file. Is that possible with Chessmaster 7000 as well ? Is there another program that can convert the Chessmaster database to pgn ?
