Chessmaster 7000 requires a sound card; there is no way to avoid this
requirement. And, actually, Chessmaster 8000 ALSO "requires" a sound card, but a
special INI setting (that is really only intended for debugging) was included to
allow you to run the program without any sound features at all.

As for the "Chessmaster files were deleted as a safety protection for security"
message, I have never heard of such a thing. What version of Windows are you
running? There is no actual PHYSICAL copy protection in CM7000 (like there is in
CM8000), so I'm not sure why Windows would give you such a message.
