Yeah, I remember seeing a recent post in which in a manually conducted match (John Merlino?) CM8000 beat CM 6000 9.5-6.5 but I am not convinced. I remember a couple of recent SSDF lists with CM6000 tied with Fritz for 1st place or one point behind; the current SSDF list has CM8000 in 16th place some 150 points behind the leaders. Junior 5 had a huge edge over CM8000; I am pretty sure CM6000 at least held its own against Junior5 in a number of reported matches, although I do not remember if J5 and CM8k played any SSDF games. I don't see the need to have 2 CM programs on my computer, so I have kept CM6000. I like its play better. eric
