Try it, guys. You're putting a lot more on the line that if you just use some commercial prog that's essentially assured of good results - but the rewards are genuinely more substantial. Another thing that surprises me is that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of extended dialogue between the operators and developers. It would be quite useful to have comp operators almost as part of the dev team; they would provide great feedback, analysis etc relating to performance on various platforms - their area of expertise - thus allowing the software types to focus a bit more. -Adam
