Difficult to say precisely, but I'm currently testing it and it seems like a sort of selectivity, and it seems to work quite well. For what I've seen watching the game Junior with a positive threshold becomes more solid and attacks a little bit less (but its attractiveness don't lose nothing). I've tried it only at blitz for now but with this parameter Junior wins all the other engines at Nunn and Nunn2. I'm currently testing it with tournament time control against Chess Tiger and Shredder 5.32. Well, if you want to try it... I've tried with an Athlon 950 and a Pentium III 800 and the results where the same. Hope that it works also with more time (it seems so because it have just won the first game against Shredder ;-) ) Sincerely, Fabio.
