I just wanted to mention it a 2nd time, because it's important (and a common misunderstanding probably): The option "use tablesbases" in the >> "load engine" << dialogue does *not* control the engine's use of the tbs, but the *GUI's* use of the tbs (as soon as tb material is reached *at the board*). If checked, even engines which do not access the tbs will benefit from tb access, if tb positions are reached. It's easy to test btw.: Uncheck it, and a tb capable engine will still access the tbs... This option in the >> "engine parameters" << dialogue (which is accessible *via* a button in the load engine dialogue) controls the tbs use of some engines which have the option available. For tbs-capable engines which don't offer this option, you would have to remove the tb path from the ChssBase.ini temporarily (or change the name of your tb folder temporarily). Regards, M.Scheidl
