You must change the path to the path where your extract.exe is located. "C:\extract\extract.exe" -N -V -C -onewfile.pgn oldfile.pgn This will remove variations and comments from oldfile.pgn and write it to newfile.pgn. Also it outputs only the seven tag roster for each game. The excellent readme file with extract will explain this and the other options. Dave
