the fact that you have kissed hundreds or even more girls does not
make you a good lover/kisser.

i don't know how good chrilly kisses.

same counts for computerchess.
if you believe you could measure strength and progress in computerchess
by roughly letting a machine automatically generate data that you list in
a chart, you are wrong. live is not that way. nobody lives the way that
he lists anything after having it done 100 or more times and then sees through.

when you walk, when you drive, when you drink, when you live...
you do not quantify the world the way you do. WHY ?
because this way you do not find out the important things.
you find out things very slow, very rough and without any information that leads
to anything.

before you find out about a chess program, it needs you to play 100 or more
games, and WHAT do you find out then ?
a number ! thats all.

you need to measure 100 or more girls, and what is the result you have found
out in the end ?

that this girl has more than that girl ?!
and ?

does this tells you anything about the girl ? anything about her plans ?
her behaviour ? her character. no. what you have found out after you
met her 100 or more times is how much weight she has, how tall she is and
and and.

you put that in a list. with 50 other girls. a list with all data.
how tall. how the hair color is. how old. how thick or thin.
and ?

does this LIST of yours tells you anything real about the people ?

would you like to met the NUMBER one in the list ?
how big is the chance that she loves you, or you love her ?
how attractive is she when she is thin ? or dark haired ?
will she develop or grow positively ??

your lists find out something anybody knows months before you proof it.
your numbers are illusions. they suggest somebody leads.
they say : hey xyz leads - and we know it because we have played
xyz games.

wow ! what a remarkable thing you found out.

after 100 times falling to the floor you found out that the
floor is slippery.
and you can even measure HOW slippery it is. in percentage !! wow !!

when i make a list about deseases. and how often they happen.
and i do statistical questions to a group of people about their deseases.
i ask 100 or more people, do we find out WHY they went ill ?

when i have 100 or more results of soccer teams, in a list,
does this tell us anything about the games they played,
or how the team can make progress ?
do you understand WHY it lost by studying the numbers ?

why do people watch soccer games when publishing your list would be enough
data, to find out about soccer ?

have you ever tried to meet a girl by studying contact-data in internet,
made a blind date and found out: ough - data is not everything ?

how do you find out about people ?
do they tell you their ages first ?
or their opinions ?
or do they sent you pictures ?
or tell you how much weight they have ?
