I tried to express the viewpoint of a (lazy) user, as usual. Of course neither
offense nor irritation was what I aimed for, but attention - which worked! :o)

As far as I understand the rest, programmers even have a lot more difficulties
with this protocol issue (more than a anti-nerd might imagine) than users trying
to configure properly, and careful comprehensive documentation is important but
not always available to the necessary extent.
