They all have their strong and weak points. I don't like using Fritz for analysis, for the reason you mention. But I recently viewed a computer- computer game on ICC where Fritz found the nice Bf4! in this position: [D] 6r1/4kp1p/5r2/1Nqpp1b1/Pp2b1B1/6P1/1P2QP1P/4RRK1 b - - Time control was 0 minutes + 23 sec. increment. So, probably under a minute for the search. This may be "only tactics" but it is the kind of tactics that wins games. --Jon
