When you use the "Install to hard disk" option in Fritz it changes this attribute as it copies the files. But the flag isn't changed when you copy a database manually from the CD to your hard disk. Try slecting (highlighting) all the files in the database on your hard drive, right-click on the highlighted files, select "Properties", and then un-check the "read-only" attribute box.
