On November 6, 1999 he played 15 hours blind on 20 checkers board with 17 wins and 3 draws. He there beat fellow Dutchman Harm Wiersma to it, holding the record before him. Playing blind checkers is considered much more difficult than blind chess, let alone simuls. For me it's all the same: that is, impossible. I doubt if a stupido forgetting about Najdorf should be sent to the checkers board. Maybe tic-tac-toe is a better option. J.
