Hi there,

I thought I had made my perspective clear, but let me see if I can make it a bit
simpler.
- I don't think WinBoard sucks. It is, in fact, my favourite interface - I use
it to play chess on FICS myself
- As I previously stated, I am using the Timeseal .EXE from WinBoard. I am
therefore seeking to add to WinBoard's foundations, admittedly in a rather
humble fashion.
- I am not working on a vastly improved interface to replace WinBoard with. As I
stated earlier, I am working on some code to glue my WB-compatible engine to
FICS.
- My reasoning is to provide *myself* with a tool that I can mess around with,
and modify completely at my discretion
- As I feel indebted to others who have shared the fruits of their work (people
such as Tim Mann, for instance), I hoped that others may find what I've done
useful and offered to share it and the code with anyone who's interested.

Now, I don't see anything in this lot which would seem to invite this sort of
flame. Please feel free not to use it if you don't want to :-)

Finally, let me reiterate that what I have at the moment is very limited in
terms of functionality - certainly not what you would call a replacement for
WinBoard. However, my chess engine, Blikskottel, has played several games on
FICS now using the engine, and so I thought the time was right to share what I
have done.

I hope this clears things up. I will make the code available from my web site
later this weekend, for those who are interested in hearing a new idea out
before flaming the originator to ashes.

Adam
