I know. And IMO Tiger 14 does not as well as it would with an own book because
of this fact.

Correct. Tricky, isn't it? :-(
The tricky thing is: You CAN have Chessbase Tiger running with own book, but for
this you also need to BUY the Chesspartner-Tiger.

AFAIR at least Christophe has pointed that out very clearly.

Oops, they want allow this restriction, because they test what is sold. And that
is a Chessbase-Tiger with an opening book provided with it.
BTW at least one SSDF member already mentioned to have Chesspartner-Tiger and
Chessbase-Tiger but is not willing to use the Chesspartner-Tiger-book, because
it is a different product.
