The sponsor is (I believe) a company that makes multiple CPU machines. Will they really want to run on a single CPU? So, if they don't sponsor it, the match does not happen. It isn't justice. Justice is Shredder playing the game. Or at least Shredder given a chance to play the game. However, it is good chess that I am to mentally weak to boycott. You can bet I will watch every move with great interest. Even so, the next chess program I am going to buy is Shredder (which I don't own yet). Not that I am brimming with moral goodness which drives me to make this decision. Rather, Shredder can create EPD output, and so I am keenly interested to use it in CAP.
