In all seriousness, why would anyone want to build an opening book from 1.5 million games? Surely, 1.3 million of the games would be between Joe Blow and Norm Nobody. Who cares what they played in the opening? I would be very surprised if all the recorded games between International Masters and Grandmasters totaled more than 300,000 games. I extracted, from a database of 1.5 million games, all the games where both players have an actual, or historical (e.g., Capablanca), rating of 2500+ There are only about 100,000 games in that book. I wouldn't want a book comprised of 1.5 million games. There'd be a lot of chaff with the wheat. John
