I know that some years ago an 1800 player proved that it is possible to beat Fritz3 without a rook at 10 minutes per game and the game was posted in newinchess. The hardware was pentium90 if I remember correctly. I am interested to know the biggest material advantage that you can give to chess programs and still win the game or still draw the game. All the pieces that are not missing need to be in the initial position and all the pieces that are missing should be your pieces. You can use the fact that programs has no learning by position and no opening book for the relevant positions in order to win after enough tries. If the program has bigger material advantage or the time control is slower than your achievement is bigger. Uri
