That's the point, you're absolutely right! Shredder is not a Blitzer! (although
it plays Blitz very well and could win against most humans in Blitz).

I've tested Shredder 3, 4 and 5 and Deep Shredder under Winboard, UCI and Fritz
GUI, and when playing Lightning or Blitz tournaments it did _never_ ended first,
 most of the tournaments using these time-controls are won by Fritz, Hiarcs or
Crafty. I've tried the ERT (Lokasoft's Engine Research Tool) but Shredder seems
to crash very often, don't know why...

I like the way Shredder uses the Nalimov tablebases, it seems to use them better
than Tiger...
