The settings for mg2 are the same as mg1, except with some piece value changes. The apparent improvement was rather shocking...here are the early results: Game in 5: vs Chessmaster 8000 63-37 vs Nimzo 2000b 68-32 vs Crafty 17.14 67.5-32.5 vs Nextas (the new great personality by Andreas Stauche) 61.5-38.5 all of the game in 5 results were much better than mg1... at 40/40: vs Chessmaster 8000 21-13 vs Crafty 17.14 8.5-3.5 then I ran a little round robin, 16 games total for each program, game in 5: mg2 13 out of 16 points yace 8.5 zarkov 4.5g 7 crafty 18.10 7 nimzo 2000b 4.5 The next order of business is to get some games at longer time controls...and against the best possible programs...I hope there are people out there that can help!
