I've heard two Rooks on the 7th described by a senior GM as 'like blind pigs in
a corn row [perhaps 'field' was the word used]'.

I suppose that rooks on the 7th are also known for their voracious appetite, and
like gluttonous blind pigs in a corn row would move back and forth, sniffing
about for anything they can contact and eat.

The 'blind' part might serve to emphasize the uncaring way they cast about,
thrashing back and forth, looking for a meal, or the fact that they will blindly
eat anything they encounter.

'Row' works better than 'field', due to the typically lined up nature of pawn
(and other) targets on the 7th.

An apt description in my opinion.
