Junior do another strategical error in the second position of the nunn match. after the moves 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 d6 6.Bc4 e6 7.Be3 a6 8.Qe2 Qc7 9.0-0-0 Be7 10.Bb3 0-0 Junior prefer to play at depth 15-18 Nxc6(at depth13 it prefer g4 and at depth 14 f4). it is strange that Junior does mistake only if it has a lot of time in this position. David Levy wrote about this move in similiar positions that it is a typical computer error. the computer is "thinking" something like this:"if I play Nxc6 and the opponent take with the b-pawn it(he,she) has an isolated a-pawns and this is the reason it is good for white. Junior lose this game after 11.Nxc6 0.05/17 bxc6 -0.13/12 12.f4 0.02/17 d5-0.06/13 13.e5 -0.05/15 (Qf3) Nd7 -0.34/13 14.Ne4 -0.13/17 Rb8 -0.31/14 (a5) 15.c3 -0.08/17 f6 -0.25/13 16.exf6 -0.15/16 Nxf6 -0.34/13 17.Rhe1 -0.11/16 Bd7 -0.42/12(e5) 18.Kb1 -0.29/15(Nc5) c5 -0.84/12 19.c4 -0.54/14 Rb4 -0.84/13 20.Bd2 -0.70/16 Rxa4 -0.97/14 21.Rxa4 -0.92/17 Bxa4 -1.06/13 22.Qxe6+ -0.91/15 Kh8 -0.94/14(Rf7) and black gave white checkmate at move 62 Of course Junior can win fritz in other games Junior probably win the first game with white because fritz do mistake in its first move (it play Rb8 instead of Ne7) and Junior has a clear adventage after 15.Nab4
