It depends upon whether or not the makers of this device have managed to use pure Linux -- i.e., to eliminate the need for adding or removing any function calls from the list available to the typical Linux app running on a PC. It's very likely that there are indeed exceptions to handle, but I say this without having looked at the APIs.
