After the reading of the interesting article by Tim Krabbe about Mitrofanov's
deflection endgame study that can be found here :

http://www.xs4all.nl/~timkr/chess2/mitrofanov.htm

I tried one of my favourite chess program to test this spectacular endgame study
, Fritz6 , expecting to put the program in difficulty ... but to my own surprise
"the beast" found this magnificent move "Qg5!!" plus the entire variation in
less than thirty second on my AMD K6-450.
On the same web page is also mentioned a book by Victor Charushin on this
spectacular endgame study that the jury of the Rustaveli-tourney, which included
Mikhail Tal, chose among 250 different studies.

Regards.
